Today, we are going to try something very interesting: La del Vivo from La Vizcaína. It is a white wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels.
It comes from the D.O. Bierzo and is produced by Raúl Pérez, one of the most highly-rated Spanish winemakers.
The grape, 100% Godello, is from the town of Lomas de Valtuille, a place with a gentle micro-climate of mild temperatures and the ideal humidity.
The ideal serving temperature is around 7 ºC and the perfect pairing would be a baked white fish, seafood in sauce, rice in broth and spicy fish stews.
